    If you're traveling by car, start in Boulder, CO. From the center of Boulder, head northwest on Canyon Boulevard (CO-119) until you reach the intersection with the 36. Merge onto US-36 N toward Estes Park. Continue on US-36 for about 6 miles. Take the exit toward CO-93 N, and turn left onto CO-93 N. Continue for about 1 mile and turn right onto Sunshine Canyon Drive. Follow Sunshine Canyon Drive for about 2.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Lost Gulch Road. Turn left onto Lost Gulch Road, and follow it for approximately 1 mile until you reach the Lost Gulch Overlook parking area. Note that parking may require a permit, which can be obtained online.

  • Public Transportation

    If you prefer public transportation, start by taking the RTD Bus Route 204 from downtown Boulder to the Broadway & Baseline stop. From there, transfer to the HOP (Hop on) bus service and ride to the 36 & Table Mesa stop. Once there, you may need to wait for a ride-share service (like Uber or Lyft) to reach Lost Gulch Overlook, as there is no direct bus service to the overlook. The ride-share should take around 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. Keep in mind that ride-share services can incur additional costs.
