  • Walking

    If you are in downtown Salida, start at the intersection of F Street and 1st Street. Head south on 1st Street for about 0.3 miles until you reach the intersection with US-50. You'll pass several shops and restaurants along the way. Once you reach US-50, turn left (east) and continue walking for about 0.5 miles. Look for the signs directing you towards CO-291. When you reach the intersection with CO-291, turn right (south) and continue walking for approximately 0.4 miles. Salida Public Works will be on your left at 340 CO-291, identifiable by its signage.

  • Biking

    If you are biking from the Salida Riverwalk, begin at the Riverwalk Trail and head north towards the intersection of F Street. Once you reach F Street, turn left and bike west until you reach 1st Street. Turn right and head south on 1st Street for about 0.3 miles. At the intersection with US-50, turn left and continue biking east for 0.5 miles. Once you reach CO-291, turn right (south) and bike for approximately 0.4 miles. Salida Public Works will be on the left at 340 CO-291.

    Check the local bus schedule for the Chaffee Shuttle, which operates in Salida. If there is a stop near your location, take the shuttle towards the South Main area. Get off at the stop closest to CO-291 and US-50. From there, it’s about a 10-15 minute walk south along CO-291 to reach Salida Public Works at 340 CO-291.
