Walking
Start at the Salida River Walk, which is located off of F Street. From F Street, head south along the river until you reach the intersection with 1st Street. Turn left onto 1st Street and continue until you reach the end of the street at the junction with E Street. Here, turn right onto E Street and continue walking. The road will curve and you will follow it as it turns into the Tenderfoot Hill Road. Follow this road uphill until you reach the base of Tenderfoot Hill.

If you have a bike, begin your journey at the Salida Bike Path located near the Salida River. Ride along the bike path until you reach the intersection with 1st Street. Turn left onto 1st Street and then take a right onto E Street. Continue straight until you reach the Tenderfoot Hill Road. Follow Tenderfoot Hill Road as it winds upward to reach the trailhead at the base of Tenderfoot Hill.
