From any location in the San Luis Valley, head north on US-285 N toward Poncha Springs. After about 30 miles, take the exit toward CO-50 E. Continue on CO-50 E for approximately 8 miles until you reach the intersection with CO-285 N. Turn left onto CO-285 N and follow it for about 10 miles. You will then turn right onto County Road 162 toward Nathrop. Continue on CR-162 for about 9 miles, and then you will see signs for St. Elmo. The last few miles will be on a gravel road, so be prepared for a bumpy ride. Parking is available near the historic buildings.
