Walking

From downtown Trinidad, head south on Main Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Elm Street. Turn left onto Elm Street and proceed for two blocks. At the intersection with Smith Avenue, turn right. Central Park will be located on your left at 700 Smith Ave.
Public Transport

Check with local services for the nearest bus stop. Take the bus route that goes towards downtown Trinidad. Get off at the stop near Main Street and Elm Street. From there, walk south on Main Street until you reach Elm Street. Turn left on Elm Street and then right on Smith Avenue. Central Park will be on your left at 700 Smith Ave. Bus fare is approximately $2.00.
Parking

Central Park offers a free parking lot, but it's close to the baseball field, so be mindful of foul balls. Additional parking is available near the high school gym. Parking is free.

Central Park in Trinidad, Colorado, serves as a cherished retreat for locals and tourists alike. The park is divided into two sections, with the upper section featuring a baseball field and the lower section offering a soccer field and playground. The park's baseball field, home to the Trinidad Triggers, Trinidad State Junior College, and Trinidad High School teams, has a covered grandstand that can accommodate around 1,300 patrons. The park also features a fishing pond stocked with trout, where kids 14 and under can fish free of charge. A mile-and-a-half of walking trails with fitness stations wind throughout the park. Musical instruments are scattered throughout the park, inviting spontaneous performances. Central Park is not only a recreational space but also a venue for community events throughout the year. The park's location makes it easily accessible, inviting visitors to take a break and immerse themselves in the tranquility that Central Park offers.
