If you're traveling by car, make your way to Mesa Verde National Park. From the town of Cortez, head east on US-160 E. Continue for approximately 10 miles until you reach the entrance of Mesa Verde National Park. After entering the park, follow the road signs for the Step House. You'll need to drive about 20 miles into the park, where you will find the designated parking area near the Step House trailhead. Note that there is an entrance fee to the park, which is currently $20 per vehicle (valid for 7 days).
