    If you are driving from Bambao Mtrouni, head southwest on the main road leading out of the town. Follow the road for approximately 15 kilometers, which will take you directly towards the coast. As you approach the shoreline, you will see signs for Ngazidja. Continue onto the coastal road, which will lead you directly to the island's ferry terminal. Ensure you have your vehicle registration and identification ready in case they are requested at the ferry. The ferry ride to Ngazidja takes about 30 minutes and typically costs around 10,000 KMF (Comorian Franc).

  • Public Transportation - Taxi

    From Bambao Mtrouni, you can take a taxi to the ferry terminal. Taxis are available throughout the town, and you should negotiate the fare before getting in. The standard fare to the ferry terminal is around 5,000 KMF. Once at the terminal, purchase a ticket for the ferry to Ngazidja. The ferry departs regularly, but it’s advisable to check the schedule in advance. The ride will take about 30 minutes.
