Getting There

  • Car

    From Bear Mountain State Park, exit the park and get onto Route 9W South. Follow signs for the Palisades Interstate Parkway. Merge onto the Palisades Interstate Parkway South. Continue on the Parkway for approximately 15 miles until you reach the exit for the George Washington Bridge. Take the exit toward the George Washington Bridge, then merge onto I-95 North toward New Haven. After approximately 12 miles, take exit 3 for NY-1/US-1 toward Greenwich. Continue on US-1 and follow signs for Riverside Ave. Turn right onto Riverside Ave and follow for about 2 miles. Turn left onto Riversville Rd, and the Greenwich Audubon Center will be on your right.

    From Bear Mountain State Park, you will first need to get to the nearest train station, which is Peekskill Station. You can take a taxi or rideshare service to Peekskill Station. From Peekskill, take the Metro-North Railroad Hudson Line train towards Grand Central Terminal. At Grand Central, transfer to the Metro-North New Haven Line towards New Haven. Get off at the Greenwich Station. From Greenwich Station, you can take a taxi or rideshare service to the Greenwich Audubon Center located at 613 Riversville Rd. Note that train tickets will incur costs; check the Metro-North website for current fares.
