Car
If you're driving from Bear Mountain (assuming you're near the Bear Mountain Inn), take the Bear Mountain Bridge Rd and head northwest toward NY-9W N. Merge onto NY-9W N and continue for about 5 miles. Take the exit towards I-84 E and merge onto I-84 E. After approximately 10 miles, take exit 18 for CT-8 N toward Waterbury. Continue on CT-8 N for about 10 miles. Take exit 42 for US-6 E toward Harwinton/Morris. Merge onto US-6 E and after about 3 miles, turn right onto West St. Continue on West St for about 2 miles until you reach Camp Columbia State Park, which will be on your left. There is no entry fee for the park.

To reach Camp Columbia State Park via public transport, start at the Bear Mountain area and catch a Metro-North train from the Peekskill station to Bridgeport station. From Bridgeport, transfer to the CT Transit bus route 31 towards Waterbury. Get off at the stop for US-6 E and then you will need to walk approximately 1.5 miles along West St to reach Camp Columbia State Park. Be sure to check the latest bus schedules as they may vary, and you may need to pay a fare for both the train and the bus, which typically costs around $10-$15 total.
