Getting There

• Public Transportation

  From Danbury, head to the Danbury Transit Center located at 1 Patriot Drive. You can take the Metro-North Railroad train on the Harlem Line heading towards Grand Central Terminal. Get off at the Peekskill station. From Peekskill, you can catch the Rockland Coaches Bus #9 towards Stony Point. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance. Once you arrive at Stony Point, walk towards Battlefield Road, and follow it to the Stony Point Lighthouse, which is approximately a 15-minute walk from the bus stop.

• Taxi or Rideshare

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can use a taxi or rideshare service like Uber or Lyft. Simply request a ride to "Stony Point Lighthouse, 46 Battlefield Rd, Stony Point, NY 10980". This option will take you directly to the lighthouse without the need for transfers.

• Bicycle

  If you're up for a bike ride, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Danbury. Start from the Danbury Library and head south on Main Street. Then, take a right onto Newtown Road (Route 6). Follow Newtown Road until you reach the intersection with Route 202. Continue on Route 202 until you hit Route 9W. Follow Route 9W northbound until you reach the Stony Point area. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow local traffic rules. The total distance is approximately 18 miles, so plan accordingly.
