From your current location in Greenwich Point Park, exit the park and head north towards the main entrance. Once you reach the entrance, turn left onto Sound Beach Avenue. Continue walking for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Greenwich Avenue. Turn right onto Greenwich Avenue, and walk straight for approximately 0.3 miles. Greenwich Common will be on your left at 290 Greenwich Ave. The entire walk will take around 15-20 minutes.
