Getting There

  From the main parking area of Gillette Castle State Park, exit the park and turn left onto Route 82. Continue driving for approximately 2.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Route 149. Turn right onto Route 149 and follow it for about 1 mile. Then, turn left onto Main Street in East Haddam. The East Haddam Swing Bridge will be located on your right at 6 Main St, East Haddam, CT 06423.

• Public Transportation

  To reach the East Haddam Swing Bridge using public transportation, first, exit Gillette Castle State Park and walk to the nearest bus stop on Route 82. You will need to take the 14 bus towards Middletown. Disembark at the 'East Haddam Village' stop. From there, it is a short 0.5-mile walk to the bridge. Head northeast on Main St and continue straight until you reach the East Haddam Swing Bridge at 6 Main St, East Haddam, CT 06423.

  If you prefer to walk from Gillette Castle State Park to the East Haddam Swing Bridge, exit the park and head down the main road (Route 82) for approximately 2.5 miles. Then, turn onto Route 149 and continue for about 1 mile until you reach Main Street in East Haddam. Turn left onto Main Street, and you will find the East Haddam Swing Bridge on your right side at 6 Main St, East Haddam, CT 06423. This walk is approximately 4 miles in total and may take about 1.5 hours.
