Train
From Greenwich, head to the Greenwich Train Station located at 2 Railroad Ave, just a 10-minute walk from most downtown hotels. Take the Metro-North New Haven Line train heading toward Grand Central Terminal. The journey takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive at Grand Central Station, transfer to the 7 subway line toward Flushing - Main St. Get off at the 34th St-Hudson Yards station. From there, it’s a 10-minute walk to The Shed at 545 W 30th St.
Bus
You can take the CT Transit Bus Route 10 from the Greenwich bus terminal. Ride the bus until you reach the Stamford Transportation Center. From there, transfer to the Greyhound or Megabus service that goes to New York City. The trip will take about 1.5 hours. Once you arrive in New York, you can take the subway. Walk to the nearest subway station and take the 7 train towards Flushing. Get off at 34th St-Hudson Yards. The Shed is a short 10-minute walk from the station.
Bicycle
If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bike from a local bike-sharing program in Greenwich. Head towards the Greenwich Avenue and follow it north towards the Old Greenwich area. Continue on the bike path along the coast and then follow the bike lanes towards the Metro-North train station. From there, take the train as described above to Grand Central. Once at Grand Central, you can use a bike-sharing service to ride to The Shed.
Walking
Although it's quite a distance and may take several hours, you could technically walk from Greenwich to New York City. Start by heading north on Greenwich Ave until you reach I-95. Follow the path along I-95 through Cos Cob and Riverside, then continue to follow the path that leads into the Bronx, eventually connecting to the Bronx River Parkway. Cross into Manhattan over one of the bridges, and then walk to 30th St. This is a long trek and not advisable for most tourists.
