Train
From Greenwich, head to the Greenwich train station located at 2 Railroad Ave. Take the Metro-North New Haven Line towards Grand Central Terminal. Make sure to check the train schedule for departure times. Once you arrive at Grand Central Terminal, follow the signs to transfer to the S (Shuttle) train towards Times Square-42nd Street.
Subway
At Times Square-42nd Street station, transfer to the 1, 2, or 3 subway line and head downtown to 42nd St - Times Square. Once you exit the station, walk towards 8th Avenue and take the 8th Avenue exit. From there, walk west on 41st Street until you reach Pier 81, which will be on your left.
Bus
From Greenwich, you can also take a bus to New York City. Look for a bus service like Greyhound or Peter Pan that leaves from the Greenwich bus terminal. Once you arrive in Manhattan, you can either walk or take the subway to reach Pier 81. If walking, head towards 8th Avenue and walk north to 41st Street, then head west to reach the pier.
Walking
Once you arrive at Pier 81, you can enjoy the scenic views of the Hudson River. If you are close by, you can also consider walking along the riverfront to enjoy the sights along the way.
