If you're driving from Hartford, take I-91 South. Merge onto CT-9 South toward Middletown. Take exit 7 for CT-82 East toward East Haddam. Continue on CT-82 East for approximately 12 miles. Follow signs for Gillette Castle State Park, and turn left onto River Road. The park entrance will be on your left at 67 River Rd, East Haddam, CT 06423. Note that parking is available on-site, and there may be a parking fee during peak times.
Public Transportation

To reach Gillette Castle State Park via public transportation, take the CT Transit bus from Hartford to the town of East Haddam. You will need to transfer buses at the Middletown Transit Center. Look for the bus heading towards East Haddam, which is the 10 or 20 route. Once you arrive in East Haddam, you will need to take a taxi or rideshare service to cover the last 5 miles to the park since public transit does not go directly to the park.
