From Watertown center, head north on US-6 West (Thomaston Road) for approximately 3 miles. The entrance to Black Rock State Park will be on your right. Look for the park sign. Parking is available within the park, with fees of $10 on weekdays and $15 on weekends/holidays for non-residents during the operating season. Parking is free for Connecticut residents. Be aware that parking can be limited during peak times.

If starting from Branch Brook Campground, which is directly across from Black Rock State Park , carefully cross Thomaston Road (US-6). The entrance to Black Rock State Park is immediately on the other side of the road. Follow the paved park road towards Black Rock Pond. Exercise caution when crossing the road. There is no cost associated with this approach, beyond the daily parking fee if applicable.
