If you are traveling by car, start from your current location in Litchfield Hills and get onto CT-63 S. Follow CT-63 S until you reach the intersection with CT-272. Turn left onto CT-272 N and continue driving for about 10 miles. Haystack Mountain State Park will be on your left. Look for the park entrance, which is well-marked. Note that there may be a parking fee, so be prepared with cash or a card.

For those using public transportation, you can take a bus from your location in Litchfield Hills to Torrington. Once in Torrington, transfer to the CT Transit bus line that heads towards Norfolk. Make sure to check the schedule in advance as buses may not run frequently. After arriving in Norfolk, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 miles to reach Haystack Mountain State Park. Follow Route 272 North until you reach the park entrance. This option may take longer, so plan accordingly.
