Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving to New Haven Green, take I-95 or I-91 depending on your starting point. From I-95, take Exit 47 for Route 34 West (Downtown New Haven). Follow the signs for downtown and merge onto South Frontage Road. Continue straight onto Temple Street. New Haven Green will be on your left at 250 Temple St, New Haven, CT 06511. Parking is available in various nearby garages, but expect to pay around $10-$20 depending on the duration of your stay.

• Train

  For those traveling via train, Metro-North Railroad and Amtrak service New Haven. If you're coming from New York City, take the Metro-North New Haven Line from Grand Central Terminal to New Haven Union Station. The trip takes about 2 hours. Once you arrive at Union Station, exit the station and take a 15-minute walk to New Haven Green, heading east on Union Avenue, then south on State Street until you reach the park at 250 Temple St.

• Bus

  If you're using a bus service, Greyhound and Megabus both have routes to New Haven. Arrive at the Greyhound station located at 50 Union Avenue. From there, it's a short 10-minute walk to New Haven Green.   CT Transit operates bus routes throughout the area. If you're near a bus stop, you can take bus routes 226, 228, or 229 which all stop near New Haven Green.
