If you're traveling by car from New Haven Harbor, head northwest on Long Wharf Drive. Continue on Long Wharf Drive for about half a mile until you reach the intersection with Sargent Drive. Turn right onto Sargent Drive and follow it as it curves to the left and becomes Water Street. Continue on Water Street until you reach the intersection with Whitney Avenue. Turn left onto Whitney Avenue, and after about 0.5 miles, you will find Escape New Haven on your right at 103 Whitney Ave. There is limited street parking available, and you may need to check for any parking meters or restrictions.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, start by walking to the nearest bus stop at Long Wharf Drive. From there, you can catch the CT Transit bus route 223 towards New Haven. Ride the bus for approximately 15 minutes until you reach the stop at Whitney Avenue and Elm Street. Disembark at this stop, and walk north on Whitney Avenue for about 0.2 miles. Escape New Haven will be on your left at 103 Whitney Ave. The bus fare is approximately $1.75, and you should have exact change ready for the fare box.
Bicycle
For those who wish to bike, you can rent a bike from a local bike-sharing program if available. Start from the waterfront area and head north along Long Wharf Drive. Follow the bike paths that lead to the edge of the street. Once you reach Sargent Drive, turn right and continue until you merge onto Water Street. After reaching the intersection with Whitney Avenue, turn left and bike for about 0.5 miles. Escape New Haven will be on your right at 103 Whitney Ave. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow bicycle safety rules while riding.
