Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from central Naugatuck, head south on Rubber Avenue toward the intersection with Route 8. Merge onto Route 8 South. Continue on Route 8 for about 5 miles, then take exit 22 for Route 67 toward Oxford. At the end of the exit ramp, turn left onto Route 67. After approximately 1.5 miles, turn right onto Gunntown Road. Follow Gunntown Road until you reach 51-319 Gunntown Rd, Oxford, CT 06478. The park will be on your right. Parking is available on-site.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, take the CT Transit bus service that connects Naugatuck to nearby towns. Check the schedule for the bus route that goes to Oxford. Once you arrive at Oxford, you may need to use a rideshare service or taxi to get to Gunntown Passive Park and Nature Preserve as public transport options may be limited directly to the park. Make sure to confirm the fare for the rideshare or taxi in advance.

• Biking

  For adventurous visitors, biking to Gunntown Passive Park is a great option. From Naugatuck, head toward Route 67, which has designated bike lanes. Follow Route 67 south, then turn onto Gunntown Road. The park is about a 20-30 minute ride depending on your pace. Be sure to wear a helmet and follow all bike safety regulations.

  If you are staying nearby and prefer walking, you can walk to Gunntown Passive Park. From Oxford center, walk towards Route 67, then follow the road signs directing you toward Gunntown Road.
