Car

If you're driving from downtown New Haven, take I-95 S from State St towards New York. Merge onto I-95 S and continue for about 4 miles. Take exit 46 for Woodward Ave towards East Haven. Turn left onto Woodward Ave, and after about 1 mile, you will see Ft. Hale Park on your right. There is parking available within the park.
Public Transportation - Bus

To reach Ft. Hale Park via public transportation, you can take the CT Transit bus service. From downtown New Haven, board Bus Route 235 at the New Haven Green towards East Haven. Ride for approximately 25 minutes and get off at the stop for Woodward Ave. Walk about 10 minutes down Woodward Ave, and you will arrive at the park. Please check the CT Transit schedule for the current fare and timings, which typically costs around $1.75.
Walking

If you are staying in the nearby area, you can walk to Ft. Hale Park. From East Haven, head west on Woodward Ave. The park is approximately a 30-minute walk from East Haven center. Follow Woodward Ave directly to the park entrance, which will be on your left.
