If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bike in New Haven. Head towards the East Coast Greenway, which is a bike path that connects various cities along the Eastern US. Follow the signs leading you towards Bridgeport. The ride is about 14 miles and will take you approximately 1 to 1.5 hours depending on your pace. Once you arrive in Bridgeport, follow the signs to Seaside Beach, which is located in Seaside Park.
Walking
Walking to Seaside Beach from New Haven would be quite a trek, as it is approximately 14 miles away. If you're up for the challenge, you can start from the New Haven Green and head west on Chapel Street until you reach the intersection with State Street. Turn left onto State Street and continue walking straight. This will take you across the West River and into Bridgeport. Once you enter Bridgeport, you’ll want to navigate to Seaside Park by following the signs that lead you toward the waterfront. Be aware that this will take several hours and it is advisable to wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
