Getting There

• Public Transit

  If you are in downtown Bridgeport, start by heading to the Bridgeport Transportation Center located at 525 Water Street. From there, take the Metro-North train towards New Haven. Get off at the next stop, which is the Bridgeport Station. Upon exiting the station, look for the bus stop for the Housatonic Area Regional Transit (HART) bus service. Board the HART bus #7, which heads towards the Black Rock area. Stay on the bus until you reach the stop at Center Street Extension. From the bus stop, walk east for about 5 minutes along Center Street Extension, and you will arrive at BJ Brown Memorial Park, located at 699 Center Street Extension.

• Walking

  If you are near Seaside Park, start by walking towards the intersection of Seaview Avenue and South Avenue. From there, head north on South Avenue until you reach the intersection with Center Street Extension. Turn left onto Center Street Extension, and continue walking for about 15-20 minutes. BJ Brown Memorial Park will be on your right at 699 Center Street Extension.

• Biking

  If you have a bike, start at the Bridgeport Ferry Terminal. Head north on the waterfront bike path and then merge onto Seaview Avenue. Continue on Seaview Avenue until you reach South Avenue. Turn right on South Avenue and then take another right onto Center Street Extension. Continue biking for about 10-15 minutes, and you will arrive at BJ Brown Memorial Park, located at 699 Center Street Extension.
