From downtown New Haven, head to the New Haven Green, where you can find the Metro-North and CT Transit bus stops. Take the CT Transit bus route 228 toward 'East Haven'. Ride the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the stop at Woodward Avenue. After disembarking, walk south on Woodward Avenue for about 0.5 miles. Fort Nathan Hale will be on your right at 36 Woodward Ave.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing programs available in New Haven. Start at the New Haven Green and head east on Chapel Street. Continue onto East Street, then turn right onto Woodward Avenue. Follow Woodward Avenue for about 1.5 miles; Fort Nathan Hale will be on your left at 36 Woodward Ave.
