Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey in New London County. Depending on your starting point, navigate to I-95 N. Once on I-95 N, drive for approximately 10 miles. Take exit 84 for CT-161 N toward Waterford. Merge onto CT-161 N and continue for about 3 miles. Turn right onto Great Neck Road, and then a quick left onto Seaside Avenue. Follow this road until you reach the Seaside Sanatorium, located at the end of the street. Look for the main entrance which is marked with historical signage.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, begin at the New London Train Station. Board a Shore Line East train heading towards New Haven. Get off at the Old Saybrook station and transfer to a local bus (CT Transit Route 10) toward Waterford. Once on the bus, ask the driver to let you know when you reach the nearest stop to Seaside Sanatorium. After getting off, it will be a short walk (approximately 0.5 miles) to the Sanatorium. Follow the road signs directing you to Seaside Avenue.

If you prefer biking, start from downtown New London and head towards Waterford using the scenic coastal route. You can follow the bike path along the waterfront, which is about 6 miles away from Seaside Sanatorium. Once you reach the vicinity of Waterford, navigate to Great Neck Road and turn right onto Seaside Avenue. The Sanatorium will be at the end of this road. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow all traffic regulations for a safe ride.
