Getting There

Car
From Ski Sundown, head south on Ski Sundown Rd toward Route 44. Turn left onto Route 44 E and continue for about 4 miles. Merge onto Route 8 N via the ramp to Winsted. After approximately 10 miles, take exit 46 toward Torrington. At the end of the exit, turn right onto Newfield Rd. Continue on Newfield Rd for about 2 miles, and Sunnybrook State Park will be on your right. There is no entry fee for the park, but parking may be limited during peak times.

From Ski Sundown, the nearest public transportation option is the CT Transit bus. Walk to the nearest bus stop on Route 44 and catch the bus towards Torrington. You may need to transfer buses at the Torrington Transit Center to take a local bus towards Newfield Rd. Check the CT Transit website or call for schedules and route information. The total fare for the bus ride is approximately $1.75. Once you reach a stop near Newfield Rd, it will be a short walk to Sunnybrook State Park.
