The Riverdale Y is accessible via public transportation. From Manhattan, take the 1 or A subway line to 242nd Street – Van Cortlandt Park. Transfer to the Bx10 or Bx20 bus towards Riverdale. Get off at the 256th Street & Riverdale Avenue stop, which is a short walk from the Y. The fare for the subway and bus is $2.90 each, payable with an OMNY card, contactless credit/debit card, or MetroCard. Alternatively, from other parts of the Bronx, several bus lines connect to the Bx10 or Bx20, including the Bx7.

If you are in the Riverdale neighborhood, the Riverdale Y is easily accessible by foot. From the intersection of Riverdale Avenue and West 256th Street, walk east on West 256th Street until you reach Arlington Avenue. Turn left onto Arlington Avenue, and the Riverdale Y will be on your left. The walk is approximately 5 minutes. No costs are associated with walking.
