If you're traveling by car, start by navigating to Mount Tom Rd, Washington Depot, CT 06794. From the center of any town in The Quiet Corner (like Putnam or Killingly), head south on CT-395 S. Merge onto I-84 W towards Waterbury. Take exit 20 for CT-67 S toward Southbury. Continue on CT-67 S for about 5 miles, then turn left onto CT-47 S. After approximately 3 miles, turn right onto Mount Tom Rd. Follow Mount Tom Rd for about 1.5 miles, and you'll arrive at Mount Tom State Park, which will be on your left. Parking is available at the park entrance for a fee of $15 per vehicle. Remember to check the weather and park hours before your visit.

From Hartford, take the CT Transit bus (Route 2) towards Waterbury. Get off at the Waterbury station and transfer to the CT Transit bus (Route 5) heading towards New Milford. Disembark at the intersection of Route 47 and Mount Tom Rd. From there, it is a 1-mile walk to the park entrance.
