From Poughkeepsie, you can take the Dutchess County Public Transit bus to the Wappingers Falls area. Board the Route 1 bus at the Poughkeepsie Train Station. Ride the bus until you reach the Wappingers Falls stop. From there, transfer to the Route 4 bus heading towards Kent. You will need to pay the bus fare and check the bus schedule for exact times. Once you reach the Kent stop, walk approximately 0.5 miles to Kent Falls State Park along Kent Cornwall Road.

Take the Metro-North train from Poughkeepsie Train Station towards Grand Central Terminal. Get off at the Brewster station. From Brewster, transfer to the Putnam County Transit bus (Route 1) heading towards Kent. Once you arrive in Kent, it’s about a 1 mile walk to Kent Falls State Park along Kent Cornwall Road. Make sure to check the train and bus schedules for the latest timings.
