Public Bus
To reach Seaside Beach in Bridgeport from Waterbury, start by walking to the nearest bus stop where the Connecticut Transit bus service operates. Look for the CTtransit Route 5 bus heading towards Bridgeport. Board the bus and stay on for about 30-35 minutes. The bus will take you through various neighborhoods. Once you arrive in Bridgeport, get off at the stop closest to Seaside Park. From the bus stop, it's a short 10-minute walk east towards Seaside Beach.
Train
If you prefer taking the train, head to the Waterbury train station located at 25 East Main Street. Board the Metro-North Railroad train on the Waterbury branch towards Grand Central Terminal. After about 30-40 minutes, transfer at Bridgeport station. Once in Bridgeport, exit the station and take a bus or a rideshare service to Seaside Beach, which is about 3 miles away. Alternatively, you can walk to Seaside Beach, which will take approximately 1 hour.
Walking
If you find yourself in the downtown area of Waterbury, you can also opt for walking to the nearest bus stop. Once at the bus stop, take the Route 5 bus as previously mentioned. If you are feeling adventurous and don't mind a longer walk, you can head towards the Bridgeport train station and follow the train route to the beach, keeping in mind it will take several hours.
