  • Walking

    Sailing Aitutaki is located on Ootu Beach. If you are staying at a nearby accommodation on Ootu Beach, such as Tai Roto Bay Beach Villas, you can easily walk to the departure point. From the main road, follow the signs to Ootu Beach and continue along the beach until you reach the Sailing Aitutaki area. There are no costs associated with walking.

  • Taxi

    If you are coming from accommodations further away on Aitutaki, a taxi is a convenient option. Taxis on Aitutaki do not operate with meters and should be booked in advance. Contact Pacifica Taxi or Tropicool Tours to arrange a pick-up. A short taxi ride from Arutanga to Ootu Beach will cost approximately NZ$10-20 per person. Be sure to confirm the price when booking.

  • Scooter/Car

    If you have rented a scooter or car, you can drive to Ootu Beach. From Arutanga, follow the main road east towards the airport. Continue past the airport turnoff and follow the signs to Ootu Beach. Parking is available near the beach. Scooter or car rentals can be arranged through various rental companies on the island. A driver's license costs $2.50 and can be purchased at the police station in Arutanga. Scooter rentals typically cost around NZ$25-35 per day.
