Getting There

Walking
From the central area of Arorangi, head east on Aroa Beach Road. Continue along the beach road for about 1.5 km until you reach the intersection with the main road, Ara Tapu. Turn left onto Ara Tapu and follow the road for approximately 2 km. You will see signs directing you towards Te Rua Manga (The Needle) on your right. Follow the signs, and you will eventually reach the entrance to the hiking trail.

Biking
If you're renting a bike, start from the Arorangi beach area and cycle east along Aroa Beach Road for about 1.5 km. At the intersection with Ara Tapu, make a left turn. Continue biking for roughly 2 km until you see the signs for Te Rua Manga (The Needle) on your right. The trailhead is well-marked, and you can secure your bike at the entrance.

Public Transport (Bus)
Catch a local bus heading towards Avarua from the nearest bus stop in Arorangi. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you off at the closest stop for Te Rua Manga. The bus will take you along Ara Tapu Road. Once you get off, walk back along the road for about 10 minutes towards the right direction where you will find the entry point to the hiking trail.
