From anywhere in Takitumu District, a taxi is a convenient option. Several taxi services operate on Rarotonga, including the Cook Islands Taxi Association (CITA), identifiable by their bright green vehicles. A short taxi ride within Takitumu District will cost approximately NZ$10-NZ$20. Taxis are available 24/7 and can be pre-booked by contacting CITA. Public Transport

The public bus is an affordable way to reach Ariki Adventures. Two bus routes, Clockwise and Anti-Clockwise, operate on Rarotonga, except on Sundays. Both buses pass through the Takitumu District along Ara Tapu Road. Simply wave down the bus. A single fare is approximately NZ$5. Check the bus timetable to plan your journey.

Walking

If you are staying in accommodations in Vaimaanga Tapere, walking to Ariki Adventures is a viable option. From nearby accommodations, follow Ara Tapu Road. The walk should take between 15 to 30 minutes. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes.

Ariki Adventures provides guided sea scooter tours to swim with turtles in the beautiful lagoon of Rarotonga. Founded in 2016 by a local Cook Islander and his wife, Ariki Adventures aims to share the beauty of the ocean and the magic of the turtles that live in the Avaavaroa Passage.The tours, lasting approximately 2 hours, begin with an introduction on how to use a sea scooter, followed by a short test in shallow waters to ensure everyone is comfortable. Guests then follow experienced guides into deeper waters to encounter turtles, eagle rays, moray eels, tropical fish, and the occasional reef shark. Ariki Adventures also offers a Shipwreck Sea Scooter Safari, where guests can explore a 100-year-old shipwreck.Ariki Adventures is committed to safety, with a safety boat, experienced guides, and all necessary equipment provided. They also prioritize education, teaching participants about coral reefs, marine habitats, and conservation efforts.
