Walking
From the center of Avatiu, head west on Avatiu Road towards the coast. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Main Road. Turn left onto Main Road and walk along the shoreline until you reach the village of Arorangi. You will pass several local shops and cafes on the way, which can be a nice stop if you need refreshments. Keep walking until you see the sign for the Raemaru Trail, which will be on your right side. Follow the path indicated by the trail signs leading you to the Raemaru trailhead.
Public Bus
Take a public bus from Avatiu heading towards Arorangi. The bus stops frequently, so you can hop on at any designated bus stop along the route. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the Raemaru trailhead stop. Once you arrive at the stop, you may need to walk a short distance back toward the trail entrance, which will be clearly marked. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the return trip.
Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, start from the center of Avatiu and ride west on Avatiu Road. You will enjoy a scenic ride along the coast.
