Getting There

Walking
From your current location in Avatiu, head towards the main road, Ara Tapu. Walk in the direction of Avarua. After approximately 15 minutes, you will reach the intersection with a large fruit stand on your right. Continue walking straight until you come to a small roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the road that leads towards the coast. Keep walking for another 10 minutes, and you will see Black Rock on your right, just past a small beach.

Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, start from the center of Avatiu and cycle along the main road, Ara Tapu, heading towards Avarua. After about 10 minutes, you will pass a local market on your left. Continue straight past the fruit stand and approach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit towards the coast. Pedal for another 5 minutes, and you will find Black Rock on your right side, just off the beach.

Look for the local bus stop in Avatiu. Board a bus heading towards Avarua. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the stop near Black Rock. The journey will take about 15 minutes. Once you disembark, walk a short distance towards the coast, and you will see Black Rock located just a few minutes away, past a small beach area.
