If you are driving, start from the center of La Fortuna. Head north on Avenida 1 until you reach the intersection with Calle 502. Turn left onto Calle 502 and continue for about 1 km. You will see a sign for the La Fortuna Hikes and Trails on your right, located 1 km north of Banco Nacional. There is parking available on-site.

Public Transportation
To reach La Fortuna Hikes and Trails via public transportation, find the local bus station in La Fortuna. Buses heading towards Arenal Volcano frequently pass through the area. Ask the driver to let you off at '1 km norte del Banco Nacional.' From there, it’s a short walk to the entrance of the trails, which is well-marked. Bus fare is typically around 500-700 CRC.

If you are staying in central La Fortuna, you can walk to La Fortuna Hikes and Trails. Head north on Avenida 1, then take a left onto Calle 502. Continue walking straight for about 1 km until you see the sign for the trails on your right, just after passing Banco Nacional. The walk should take approximately 15-20 minutes.

You can also take a taxi to La Fortuna Hikes and Trails. Simply tell the driver that you want to go to '1 km norte del Banco Nacional.' The fare should be around 2,000-3,000 CRC depending on your starting point. It’s a quick ride, taking about 5-10 minutes from the center of La Fortuna.
