From La Fortuna, head northeast on Route 142 towards the Arenal Volcano National Park. Continue for approximately 12.5 kilometers (about 20 minutes). Keep an eye out for signs indicating San Carlos or Ciudad Quesada. After passing the intersection for Route 4, stay on Route 142, which will take you to the outskirts of San Carlos. Look for signs for Los Laureles, which is located in the Alajuela Province near San Carlos. The entrance will be on your right side.

From La Fortuna, take a local bus heading to Ciudad Quesada. Buses run approximately every hour. The fare is around 1,500 CRC (Costa Rican colons). The journey will take about an hour. Once you arrive in Ciudad Quesada, you can catch a taxi or use a rideshare app to reach Los Laureles, which is approximately 20 minutes away (cost around 5,000 CRC). Make sure to confirm the driver's familiarity with the location.
