From the center of San Carlos, head northwest on Calle 1 towards Avenida 2. Continue on Avenida 2 for about 1.5 km until you reach the intersection with Route 142 (also known as Ruta 142). Turn right onto Route 142 and follow this road for approximately 30 km. You will drive through beautiful landscapes and may pass through small towns such as La Fortuna. Continue on Route 142 until you see signs for Nayara Springs on your left. Turn left onto the access road and follow the signs to Nayara Springs, which will be about 5 minutes down the road. Be aware that the road may be bumpy in some areas, so drive carefully.

To travel by public transportation, start at the main bus station in San Carlos. Look for buses heading to La Fortuna; they frequently depart throughout the day. The bus ride takes about 1 hour and costs around 2,500 CRC (Costa Rican Colón). Once you arrive in La Fortuna, you will need to take a taxi to Nayara Springs, which is approximately 6 km away.
