From the central park of La Fortuna, head west on Calle 501 towards the Catholic Church. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Avenida 2. Turn left onto Avenida 2 and walk for about 500 meters. You will pass several shops and restaurants. Continue until you reach the main road (Route 142). Cross carefully to the other side and head westward. After about 4.5 km, you will see the entrance to Termales del Arenal on your left. Look for the signage indicating the hot springs.
