Car
If you are driving from La Fortuna, head southeast on Route 142. Continue for about 10 km until you reach the junction for Route 130. Turn left onto Route 130 and follow the signs for Arenal Observatory Lodge. After approximately 7 km, you will see the lodge on your left. There is a parking area available for guests.

To reach Arenal Observatory Lodge using public transportation, take a bus from La Fortuna to the Arenal Observatory Lodge. Buses run regularly but be sure to check the latest schedules at the local bus station. The fare is usually around $2-3. Inform the driver of your destination, and they will drop you off at the lodge entrance, which is located about 7 km southeast of Arenal Volcano National Park.
