Getting There

Bus
From San Isidro de El General, take the bus from the central market to San Jerónimo. The bus departs from the northeast corner of the market and is marked 'Zapotal' or 'San Jerónimo'. The ride takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. La Chiripa is located about 8km outside of San Jerónimo. From there, walk about 1 kilometer down the main road, and you will find La Chiripa on your left. The bus fare is approximately ₡1,850.

From San Isidro de El General, drive 26km south on the Inter-American Highway. Turn left at the entrance for Union-Fatima-Zapotal, where you will see a sign for “Cataratas Kilo”. San Jerónimo is the last town on that road, 12km further. The last 6km of this road are a well-kept gravel road. Continue straight until you reach La Chiripa, which will be on your left side.
