Getting There

  • Car

    If you're driving from Uvita, head east on Route 34 (Costanera Sur). Continue on Route 34 for about 10 km until you reach the junction for Route 243. Turn left onto Route 243 towards San Isidro de El General. After approximately 14 km, look for signs indicating the turn-off for the waterfall, which will be along a smaller road on your right. Follow this road for about 3 km until you reach the parking area. Be aware that some sections of the road may be unpaved, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended.

    From Uvita, take a bus heading to San Isidro de El General. Buses depart regularly from the main terminal. The journey takes about 45 minutes to an hour and costs around 2,000 CRC. Once you arrive in San Isidro, you will need to take a taxi to the waterfall. Taxis can be found at the bus terminal, and the fare should be approximately 15,000 CRC for the 20 km ride to the waterfall entrance.
