Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car from the center of Uvita, head southeast on Route 34 (Interamericana). Drive for about 5 kilometers until you reach the signs for Playa Chaman. Turn left onto the road that leads towards the beach. Continue on this road for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach Playa Chaman. There are several parking areas available near the beach, but be aware that parking may incur a fee of approximately $5.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Playa Chaman via public transportation from Uvita, take a local bus heading towards Ojochal. Buses leave frequently from the main bus stop in Uvita. The fare is around $1.50. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Playa Chaman; the trip will take about 15-20 minutes. Once you get off, walk about 500 meters down the path to the beach entrance.

• Taxi

  For a more direct route, consider taking a taxi from Uvita. Taxi services are readily available and can take you to Playa Chaman in about 10 minutes. The cost for a taxi ride is generally between $10-$15, depending on your negotiation skills and traffic conditions. Ensure you confirm the price before starting your journey.

• Bicycle

  If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle in Uvita and cycle to Playa Chaman. The route is approximately 6 kilometers and mostly flat. It will take you around 30-40 minutes to reach the beach. Bicycle rentals are available in Uvita for about $10 per day. Be sure to wear a helmet and follow local traffic rules.
