If you are driving to Poza Playa Bonita from Cahuita, start on Route 36 (Costanera Sur) heading north. Continue for approximately 8 km until you reach the intersection with Route 34. Turn left onto Route 34 and follow it for about 5 km. You'll see signs for Cahuita National Park along the way. Once you arrive at the park entrance, you will need to pay an entry fee (approximately $5 per person). After entering the park, continue walking along the trails until you reach Poza Playa Bonita, which is located near the beach area.

To reach Poza Playa Bonita using public transportation, take a bus from Cahuita to Puerto Viejo. Buses run frequently and the fare is usually around $1. Once in Puerto Viejo, transfer to a local taxi or shuttle service that can take you to the entrance of Cahuita National Park. Expect to pay around $5 for the taxi. After arriving at the park entrance, pay the entrance fee (approximately $5 per person), then follow the park trails leading to Poza Playa Bonita, which is a short hike from the main paths.

If you are already in Cahuita National Park and wish to walk to Poza Playa Bonita, make your way to the park entrance if you haven’t already entered. Follow the designated park trails; the route to Poza Playa Bonita is well-marked. The trail is relatively easy to navigate and takes approximately 30 minutes of walking to reach the beach area. Remember to bring water and sun protection as this is a hiking area.
