Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from the entrance of Cahuita National Park, located on the main road (Route 36). Head south on Route 36 for approximately 2 kilometers. Keep an eye out for the signs indicating the direction to Cahuita. After about 2 kilometers, you will see a sign for Cabinas Algebra on your right. Turn right onto the road leading to Cabinas Algebra and follow it for about 500 meters until you reach the property.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, take a bus from Puerto Viejo to Cahuita. The buses run frequently throughout the day, and the fare is typically around 1,000 CRC (Costa Rican Colones). Once you arrive at the Cahuita bus terminal, exit the terminal and walk towards the main road (Route 36). From there, you can either walk (about 2 kilometers) or take a taxi to reach Cabinas Algebra. If you choose to walk, head south on Route 36 and look for the sign for Cabinas Algebra on your right. If you prefer a taxi, you can ask the bus driver or a local for assistance in finding a taxi, which should cost around 2,000 CRC.

• Walking

  If you are already in Cahuita National Park and prefer to walk, exit the park at the main entrance and head south on Route 36. It's about a 2-kilometer walk along the road. You will pass some local shops and restaurants. Stay alert for the Cabinas Algebra sign on your right, approximately 500 meters after you spot the entrance to Cahuita town. The walk should take around 25-30 minutes.
