Bus
From any location in Guanacaste, head to the nearest bus terminal. If you're in Liberia, go to the Liberia Bus Terminal. If you're in Tamarindo, go to the Tamarindo Bus Station. Look for a bus heading to Ortega or a bus that is going to the nearby town of Bagaces. Purchase your ticket and board the bus. The bus ride will take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on your starting location. Get off at the Ortega stop (ask the driver to let you know when you reach Ortega).
