From the center of Playa Flamingo, head south toward the main road (Route 180). Walk down the beach path until you reach the main road. Once you reach Route 180, turn left (south) and walk along the road. Continue walking for approximately 2.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Route 21. You will have to navigate through a few shops and restaurants along the way, but stick to the main road. At the Route 21 intersection, turn right (west) and continue on Route 21 for about 1 kilometer.

From Playa Flamingo, walk to the nearest bus stop located on Route 180. Take a bus heading towards Liberia. The bus will take you directly to Liberia, where you can ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to Cerro de las Huacas (inform the driver beforehand). Once in Liberia, you can either take a short taxi ride or check for local transportation options to reach Cerro de las Huacas, which is approximately 7 kilometers from the Liberia bus station.
