Getting There

    If you are driving, start on Route 21 heading south towards Nicoya. After approximately 30 minutes, turn left onto Route 150 towards Paquera. Continue on Route 150 until you reach the intersection with Route 624. Turn right onto Route 624 and follow the signs for Playa Montezuma. The beach is located a few kilometers down this road on your left side, and there is ample parking available.

    To get to Playa Montezuma by public bus, take a bus from Nicoya to Paquera, which leaves from the main bus terminal. The journey will take about 1 hour. Once in Paquera, transfer to another bus heading to Montezuma. The bus ride from Paquera to Montezuma will take around 30 minutes. The bus will drop you off near the beach entrance, and from there, it’s a short walk to the sandy shores of Playa Montezuma.
