Walking
From the center of La Fortuna, start at the main square (Parque Central) where you can find the iconic La Fortuna Church. Head northeast on Calle 482 for about 400 meters until you reach the intersection with C. 462. Turn left onto C. 462. Continue walking for approximately 1.5 kilometers. You will pass by a few local shops and eateries. The Arenal Sanctuary Reserve will be on your right-hand side, just look for the entrance sign along the road.

Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in La Fortuna. Start your journey from the main square (Parque Central), heading northeast on Calle 482. After about 400 meters, turn left onto C. 462. Cycle along C. 462 for about 1.5 kilometers. Keep an eye out for the entrance to Arenal Sanctuary Reserve on your right. The ride is fairly flat and offers a pleasant view of the surrounding area.

If you prefer a quicker option, you can take a taxi. From anywhere in La Fortuna, simply tell the driver you want to go to Arenal Sanctuary Reserve located on C. 462.
