From the central park of La Fortuna, head west on Avenida 1 until you reach the intersection with Calle 494. Turn right onto Calle 494 and continue walking straight. After about 800 meters, you will reach the main road (Route 142). Cross the road carefully and look for a local bus stop. This is the stop for buses heading towards San Carlos.
